ROXUL re-branding to ROCKWOOL

I am thrilled to officially announce that effective January 1, 2018, ROXUL is undergoing a name change and rebranding to ROCKWOOL. We’ve always been part of the ROCKWOOL Group and the superior quality and performance of our products will remain. By joining together under one, unified brand, our commitment to delivering product solutions, innovation, education and market growth to our customers has only been strengthened. 

We are determined to do more. Across the globe, there are growing concerns around energy consumption, water shortage and the need for safer, more resilient cities. It’s why our commitment to finding new and innovative ways of using stone wool solutions will continue. We can do more for our customers, more for our partners and more for our planet together.
We’ve always been a world leader in stone wool solutions – that won’t change. Today’s announcement may bring about questions on the impact this will have and we welcome any questions you might have. Here is what you can expect over the next few months:

1. Updated product packaging: As a result of the rebranding, all ROXUL branded packaging will be updated with the name ROCKWOOL. There are no new SKUs or product numbers – we are aiming to have minimal disruption to your business during the rebrand. Grodan and Rockfon, both subsidiaries of ROCKWOOL International, will keep their brand names under the ROCKWOOL umbrella.


2. Payments will still be remitted to ROXUL Inc. and ROXUL USA Inc. Our legal entity will remain as ROXUL Inc. and ROXUL USA Inc., so invoices that you receive will not change in that respect and payments will still be remitted to ROXUL Inc. and ROXUL USA Inc. Order confirmations, order confirmation, invoices, bill of ladings etc.  will all be branded ROCKWOOL.

3. New website: Launching in January 2018, our new website is an industry-leading digital footprint, offering customers and partners additional online tools and resources. Our new website will be and the ROCKWOOL Group’s (RI) website will transition to
4. Investments to serve our customers better: We will continue to invest in expanding our production facilities, such as these recent developments:

A. Site preparation is expected to begin in October this year on the 130-acre site in the city of Ranson, West Virginia, with initial production of ROCKWOOL’s stone wool insulation slated to begin in the first quarter of 2020. With a total investment exceeding $150 million US, the new manufacturing facility will cover some 460,000 square feet and employ around 150 people in positions ranging from management levels to production line.

B. Rockfon production is now active in the Byhalia, Mississippi facility, and it will be Rockfon’s fifth manufacturing facility in the world, extending global capacity and meeting the growing demand for Rockfon’s stone wool acoustic ceiling products in North America. The new facility represents an initial investment of approximately $40 million US by ROCKWOOL.
